  Impersonal Stuff
I work clinically at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, currently part of CareGroup. I've an appointment as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago.

Computing
I'm a big Macintosh fan and interested in all things computer, especially with regard to applications in medicine/medical informatics. Used the web before GUI browsers!

Mount Auburn's Emergency Department and Walk in Center do all their charting electronically with software our group has developed, principally using Filemaker; we continue to adapt and extend its use.

Personal Stuff
My interests include reading, running, and swimming, especially on Martha's Vineyard. I enjoy reading Neal Stephenson and William Gibson; all things Zelazny, Brunner's Stand on Zanzibar and Pyncheon's Gravity's Rainbow. Have scuba dived and parachute jumped, briefly flown a prop plane, jet, and glider. I've backpacked through some of the Rockies in Colorado and hiked at Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and highly recommend them, as I do the incredible Na Pali coast on the north side of Kauai. We heard the whales singing while swimming there...
